Ube Latte - Homemade

Ube Latte is a smooth, colorful beverage that combines the sweetness of ube with the richness of coffee.

Easy to make at home, it adds an exotic touch to your coffee routine.

Ingredients (makes 1 cup):

  • 1 teaspoon ube powder
  • 120 ml hot water
  • 150 ml milk (vegetable or animal, as preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar or honey (optional)
  • 1 shot of espresso or 60 ml strong coffee (optional)
  • Ice cubes (for iced version)
  • Equipment needed
  • A bowl or mug
  • A whisk or milk frother
  • A saucepan

Preparation:

  1. Mixing the Ube: In a bowl, mix the ube powder with the hot water until smooth
  2. Prepare the milk: Heat the milk in a saucepan. (Or leave it cold for an iced version)
  3. Blending: Add the ube mixture to the hot milk, then whisk until smooth
  4. Sweeten: Add sugar or honey to taste
  5. Add the coffee: Pour the espresso shot or strong coffee into the preparation
  6. Serve: Serve immediately for a hot version or add ice cubes for an iced version.

For an even more gourmet touch, add a spoonful of coconut milk to your Ube Latte.
